Hey, guys today we have planned something new for you. Primarily our target remains to provide you budget trip planning for hills or beaches. Today we have come to shower you in the rain of devotion. That will be also within budget. Yes, today our destination is Mayapur.

The place, where Sachi Devi’s son – the pure soul Chaitanya Deb was born. A place, which is a paradise for Krishna devotees (all across the globe).

When to go?

You can visit this place anytime. If you go there on occasions like Janmashtami, Rath Yatra, and Holi you will explore more of this place. It could be a perfect weekend family trip in the winter.

 Where to go?

You can reach there by various means.

 1) You can take these trains from Sealdah station – Lal Gola Passenger, Krishnanagar local train

 2) Take the train from Howrah station to Katwa And reach Nabadwip Dham.

We decided to take Krishnanagar local. From there we went to Ferry Ghat by auto. Finally, the ferry sent us to the holy place Mayapur by crossing the Jalangi River. The Jalangi River assimilates here with the Hooghly River which is a nice watch from the ferry. We decided to reserve Toto to watch the full vicinity.

First we visited Sri Sri Jagannath Gour Sundar Radha Damodar Giridhari Mandir. Extremely well crafted. The usage of the camera was restricted. Then we visited Saraswat Gouriyo Sraman Ashram—an abode of Lord Jagannath. Next, we visited the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. It is the place where Nimai was born in the lap of Sachi Devi. The soul will be sanctified as soon as you visit this place. Now we came to Sri Gour Gadadhar and Lakhsmi Narayan temple, situated near the previous place. Sribas Angan and Gadadhar Angan were visited here after. The life circle and religious revolution of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu have been described thoroughly in the Sri Chaitanya math. You will learn and explore many facts from the Chaitanya museum.

Finally, we came to Mayapur Chandrodaya Mandir or Iskon Temple. By this time we were having hunger pangs. So we decided to take the vog provided by Iskon temple .meanwhile all the temples in Mayapur from 12pm-3.30pm remain closed. It is the official nap time for Gopal. We collected coupons from the designated place. One has to attend the fixed place at the fixed time assigned in the coupon. The Vog Prasad is absolutely delicious. We will never forget the taste in our taste buds.

At present, the largest Iskon temple is being built here. The temple is stunning and magnificent.

Mayapur dome theatre drew our attraction. It looks like the Birla planetarium. You can watch movies here.

At last, we came to Srila Prabhupada flower Sepulcher. The place is serene and peaceful. The main mandir is Radha Madhav Temple here. We saw offering of Krishna Arati there. Hari-naam melted everyone’s hearts. All the devotees, visitors, and ourselves got swayed by it and started dancing. The love of Krishna dissuades all pain, and discretion of the earthly world.

This tour ended within 500 bucks. It will be memorable throughout life. If you are a follower of Hindu Dharma please do come here definitely. Take care.
